Garuda Wisnu Kencana

GWK Cultural Park is home to some of Bali’s most iconic cultural landmarks, including the majestic Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue, which stands 121 meters high and is a representation of the Hindu god Vishnu and his mount, the Garuda bird. Uluwatu temple

Uluwatu Temple is situated in the village of Pecatu, in the Badung Regency of Bali. Its strategic location on the edge of a cliff makes it one of the most iconic and picturesque temples on the island. The temple holds significant religious importance to the Balinese Hindu community. Dedicated to the spirits of the sea, Uluwatu Temple is considered one of Bali’s nine directional temples, intended to protect the island from evil spirits and negative influences coming from the southwest. Uluwatu Temple is also famous for hosting Kecak dance performances during sunset. The Kecak dance is a traditional Balinese dance that involves a large group of men chanting “cak-cak-cak” in a rhythmic chorus while depicting scenes from the Ramayana epic. The performance against the backdrop of the setting sun and the ocean adds a magical and captivating ambiance to the experience.
